I Heard A Hissing Sound In The Toilet Seat Under Me. Once I Sat Up, I Ran In Terror For Help
By Dreamer

After reading this story, you will start to look inside of your toilet each and every time you go to use the bathroom. The Cairns Snake Removalist snake catcher company is sending out a warning to everyone in Australia after they got a call concerning a python in the pipes of a toilet. A woman found the snake trapped inside of the toilet bowl with its body hidden. This story should be a reminder for everyone of every country to be careful because you never know what could be lurking in your bathroom or home.
The Cairns Snake Removalist went to their Facebook page in order to explain what happened: “Always check before you sit down. Every year in the dry season we get snakes in toilets. Along with laundries and bathrooms.”
Those who commented on the Facebook post were understandably freaked out, with one person referring to this situation as their “worst nightmare” and another asking, “Jesus, do they come up through the actual toilet?”
According to the snake catcher, he releases the snakes he finds, explaining to Daily Mail Australia: “This snake has been released in a suitable creek,” adding, “As for call outs for snakes in toilets, [I do] several a year when it gets really dry.”

Of course, they recommend calling a professional to remove a snake if one is found on your property.
Among those who commented on the horrific toilet intruder story on the Daily Mail, one person noted: “I grew up in a small town in North Qld… it was quite common to have frogs in the toilet. One year we went on an extended holiday, came home and the toilet wouldn’t flush properly… yep snake in the cistern. We saw snakes quite often and now I live in Townsville which is a lot larger, however I still have an extreme fear of snakes, especially if we go to any of the creeks or walking through grass etc, as I know just how many are around up here.”
Another commenter remarked: “Visiting Australia used to be on my bucket list. Not anymore… not with their giant spiders and other assorted weird creatures. Not to mention the extremely long flight time to get there!”
One person responded: “Lol it’s just typical stereotype that giant spiders and large venomous snakes move around everywhere and Australians dress up like Crocodile Dundee. I have been to Australia for two months, the only spider I saw was a tiny one on the front lawn just weaving its web and haven’t seen a single snake… you are missing out though by not visiting Australia, amazing country and beautiful places especially those sun lit beaches.”
Another commenter joked: “I’m glad I live where the only horrific thing I’ll ever see in a toilet bowl is how dirty it is.”
One commenter noted how a similar story has stuck with them, explaining: “I saw a video about that happening in Florida and several years later still can’t get it off my mind. Even though I live in an apartment, I check the toilet every single time. It’s torture.”
Another person agreed, sharing: “Been looking in the toilet since I was 11 checking for snakes. Saw the same thing on the news all those years ago.”
