If you’ve been keeping up with trends, you know that vintage items are coming back in style. Young people are now spending their hard-earned money to purchase vinyl records like you, and your parents did when they were younger. And who can blame them? There is just something special about hearing music from a vinyl record. It offers a more engaging listening experience that forces you to participate and flip over the record once it finishes the A side.
While “experts” predicted that vinyl records would go out of style and become obsolete, they have come back into popularity in recent years. Even though people turn to Spotify and iTunes for their music, those are just not as satisfying as putting a record on the turntable and sitting back with a bourbon and a book.

Because vinyl records are now popular again – the ones in your collection could be worth a whole lot of money. So if you’re looking to make some quick cash, flip through your old record collection and see what you’ve got. If you have something on the list of six records included below, you could have a small fortune on your hands.
“Diamond Dogs” by David Bowie (1974)
When Bowie released this record, the cover featured a picture of a dog’s genitals. Only a few were sold before the record company recalled them and airbrushed the cover. The original is worth thousands.

“Yesterday and Today” by the Beatles (1966)
John Lennon wanted the cover to show bandmembers in white butcher smocks, holding pieces of meat and plastic dolls. The public hated the bizarre cover, and it was sold for only one day. Now the original is worth a lot. One sold in 1996 for $38,800 because it was in pristine condition.
“Blue Note 1568” by Hank Mobley (1957)
Because only about 300 to 1000 records were released and some were mislabeled, the correct one is worth a lot. The misprinted address read “47 West 63rd New York 23” when the standard label is “47 West 63rd NYC.” One sold for over $10,000 on eBay recently.
“Good Luck Charm” single by Elvis Presley (1962)
Not only is this an Elvis classic, but it was also one of the last records before the stereo format became popular. It can sell for as much as $24,000 now.
“Street Fighting Man/No Expectation” by The Rolling Stones (1968)
Because only ten to eighteen people in a copy of this record, it is worth a whole lot of money. The album cover featured police brutality at the 1968 Chicago Democratic National Convention. Because it was too political, the record was pulled and changed, making it worth a lot now.

“The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan” by Bob Dylan (1963)
The valuable version of this record includes four songs that were later replaced. This record is considered “the most valuable record in the world” and could sell for as much as $35,000.
