There are so many different things kids do until they get to an age where they break out of certain traits and habits. Many people of age are conscious of these sorts of habits, however there are some who ignore these things and end up in a heap of trouble. This was the case for two family members of a 4-year-old little boy. His actions is something that all kids do a a young age, but sadly, he died because of it. Now, they will pay the ultimate price as they spend years in prison.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, 4-year-old Jamal Dunlap was beaten with a belt and held down in a scorching hot tub of water by his 15-year-old sister after he urinated on himself. Then, to make matters worse, the boy’s aunt, Aleisha Harris of Clayton County, Georgia, incriminated herself when she chose to wait approximately 24 hours before seeking medical attention for her injured nephew.
Police arrived at the home on Friday, February 19, due to a call about the little boy having difficulty breathing. Jamal was pronounced dead approximately 27 minutes after he arrived at Southern Regional Medical Center. Although medical examiners have been unable to determine how long the boy was submerged in the tub, they did detail his injuries, which consisted of second and third-degree burns on 40 percent of his body.
Now, both Harris and her niece — whose name has not been released due to her age — are facing murder charges in connection with Jamal’s untimely death.
The aunt, who had only been helping with the children because their absentee parents haven’t taken responsibility for them, is now facing charges for a situation she wasn’t even directly involved with. Sometimes you have to really take the time to think about your actions and how the quickest decisions can change your life forever. Three lives are now lost because of a hasty decision made by one person.
