Man ‘Rewards’ Family Praying Before Meal, Runs Off As They’re Left In Tears
By Michele

An Oklahoma family was out for breakfast recently when they sat down and participated in their pre-meal prayer just like they always do. However, this time, a strange man was sitting across the restaurant and happened to see what they were doing, and his actions left them in tears, before he ran away so he couldn’t be found.

While some may instantly assume the worst, it’s really not the case this time around, since these were tears of joy. In fact, the man’s actions were actually a “reward” to the family for “raising their sons in Christ,” reports KFOR.
The unidentified family was out for breakfast at Jimmy’s Egg in Yukon, and just as they do before every meal, they bowed their heads in prayer to the Lord to thank Him for their meal. Only this time, as they silently prayed to God, a stranger across the room took notice of what they were doing, and it compelled him to take action. When the family received their bill, they were greeted not with a charge, but with a note instead.

“Because you prayed, we paid. Continue to raise your sons in Christ. God Bless.”
Isn’t that something? The man, who ran off before anybody could identify him, saw the family’s devotion to God and paid for their meal. The restaurant’s manager, Sherry Thompson, said that his remarkably kind gesture left the family taken aback.
“She was about in tears, the customer who got her food bought,” said Thompson.
According to KFOR, the woman posted her experience to Facebook, and the post had gone so viral that the news affiliate found it on the Facebook page at a church… in England. While the kind gesture may seem like a big deal to most of the rest of us, Thompson said that it’s actually a pretty common thing at Jimmy’s.
“We see a lot of people paying it forward, buying for other people,” she said. “Especially coming holiday time, we see a lot of that, we do. Because we have really good customers.”
Even so, this particular incident touched home with both the staff and other customers, and Thompson said they won’t be forgetting about it anytime soon.
“The majority of people are nice, but there’s always some people who are not,” says Thompson. “And so it always makes it, you feel better as a server to know that there are nice, kind people out there.”
It doesn’t just make servers feel better either, it makes us all feel better. Every day, we hear about horrible things happening to good people, so it’s beyond refreshing to hear news like this, where good things actually happen to good people. Kudos to the unidentified man for going out of his way for a mother and her children, and may God bless both him and the family for years to come.
