They both match colors and become a perfect duo for a special night. However, when it comes to girls, they may be under a bit more pressure when it comes to looking suitable for prom.
If a guy wears a strange suit, no one will bat an eye and just think he’s a clown. But if a girl shows up looking less than perfect, she could become the source of sour gossip. And no one enjoys that.
When people heard that one young lady spent only $50 on her prom dress, they were outraged. They had spent so much more money and were offended that someone would be going to the dance with a cheap dress. But when Nazmayde showed up for the dance, she looked stellar in her dress. Although it cost her only $50 from Fashion Nova, she embellished it a bit with her creativity. And that’s what made it look so spectacular.
Nazmayde went to prom with her boyfriend MJ who helped her find the dress. He shared photos of them on Instagram and was forced to explain why his girlfriend only had to spend $50 for prom. The pair looked good because they matched. MJ had his metallic blue tuxedo while Nazmayde wore her embellished blue gown.
Her style was unique because she made the dress her own. It started as a cheap and straightforward fitted dress. But when she put her creative touch on it, it became a mermaid-style gown.
MJ has a popular Instagram page where he shares photos of himself mimicking looks from celebrities. He also enjoys style and updates photos that depict his latest tastes.
“My dream is to be an actor and social media comedian,” he said. “I’ve never really thought about being a fashion designer.”
When the photos went live on his page, people kept asking him to explain his girlfriend’s dress. But they were sending him direct messages. He decided to come forward and explain it once and for all for everyone.
“Ok since ppl inboxing me asking where she gets her dress from …. I found it on @fashionnova for her, and she had the idea to add flowers at the bottom … that’s it! a $50 dress is all flowers was all it took. We both creative as hell.”
