Mom Searches For Her Toddler Inside Daycare, Receives Terrifying News Hours Later

A mom in Missouri mother received a phone call from the daycare that her toddler is at, just as she is getting ready to pick him up. They let her know that she had to get there as soon as possible but they wouldn't let her know why. Once she arrived, she immediately felt that something wasn't right, and that's when she was given news that shook her to the core. Now, she’s fighting to have this business be shut down, but nobody seems to care.
22-year-old Tahanica Scott, said that the daycare workers over at GSL Developmental Center in St. Louis were usually vague on February 1, once she came to pick up her 3-year-old son Dallas from the daycare. The daycare center took the children to an outing on that day, however no one was really speaking on the event, but the truth about what took place with her child couldn’t be kept from the mom for much longer.

It allegedly took hours for anyone at the center to fess up to what took place earlier that day, after they tried to cover it up. During the field trip, all the teachers in attendance somehow managed to completely lose track of Dallas, leaving him alone on the bus for seven hours, without food, water, or anyone to watch after him, KMOV reported. It was only made worse by what else the irate mom found out after this came to light.
The supervisors realized their horrific mistake, after hours of having simply abandoning the boy on a bus alone in the cold. Once the damage was done, they thought they could get away with it, since the boy miraculously came out of the ordeal unscathed. Rather than immediately calling the mother to inform her and apologize, they must have mulled over the ramifications until finally facing the music at the end of the day.
Tahanica immediately called police upon learning of the inexcusable neglect her son endured, when she found out that she wasn’t at all alone in her horrifying ordeal. According to St. Louis Today, GSL Developmental Center has a history of leaving children unattended while in their care. In 2011, the center came under scrutiny for another incident almost identical to what happened to Dallas, when a 2-year-old girl was left alone on a bus for almost six hours.
Two other separate incidents of children around the same age also came up, where in both cases 4-year-old’s were left alone in classrooms for unfathomable amounts of time. Although the center has been under investigation for these many violations, they are still enrolling children and taking in tuition, since the state hasn’t shut them down.
How many violations does it take for safety of innocent kids to take a priority over a business’s privacy? This information is coming to light now, since a fourth incident has been reported, but the center should have not have had a chance to make it past the first one. Their job is to watch after children, and they have proven time and time again that they fail at that. Yet, the cash keeps coming in, and they’re keeping quiet as long as people continue to pay.
These victims were lucky to make it out unharmed, but the next one my not be. It shouldn’t take something more tragic to get them shut down. They’ve already proven that kids shouldn’t be anywhere near them.
