Woman Decorates Christmas Tree, As She Admires Her Work, Something Begins To Move Inside The Tree

During the holiday season, a woman purchased a Christmas tree and took it home so she could decorate it just like anyone else enjoying Christmas. However, once she finished decorating it and she admired her project, she got the surprise of her life when something began to move inside the tree.
A woman residing in Melbourne, Australia was happy of her perfectly decorated Christmas tree. Now without her realizing it, at some point between the time she brought the tree home and the day she admired her hard work, a snake had crept into her house and made a home inside of her Christmas tree.

Although the woman was calm, she knew she needed to get a professional to come remove the pest from her home. She quickly snapped a photo of the snake inside of her tree and called her local snake catcher, Barry Goldsmith. As soon as Goldsmith arrived, he found the 3-foot-long, venomous tiger snake, wrapped around the woman’s Christmas tree – and it only took him a total of 20 minutes to safely capture and remove it from the premises.
“It’s one of the more different ones, but we find them in all sorts of places,” Goldsmith said, according to The Guardian. “Tiger snakes are very good climbers.” Goldsmith admits that he was surprised with how calm the woman was throughout the entire incident. “She was very happy to see the snake go but she was very relaxed,” he said, according to

As a snake catcher, Goldsmith is used to retrieving pests from unusual places. However, in the last three or four decades as a snake catcher, he has never had to remove a snake from a Christmas tree. “This is a one-off thing,” Goldsmith admitted. “It’s like lightning striking. It’s not going to happen again, for sure. Not this year, anyway.”
Although Goldsmith has admitted that even he has never seen something like this happening, many of us who have a Christmas tree inside of our homes, regardless of where we live, will now be checking for unwanted pests lurking inside them. This is one Christmas surprise everyone wants to avoid.
