Bringing a new baby home always has its fair share of challenges and difficulties. Suddenly life as you knew it is not the same and everyone has to adjust to having a new – and very needy – person in the house.
One of the biggest fears moms of multiple children face is how their older kids will react to the new baby. Will they take to their new sibling or will jealousy come between them?
While I’m sure that was at least a thought in this mom’s mind, after walking in on this precious scene she knew right away she need never have worried.
She left the room for just a moment and left her newborn son in the care of his six-year-old brother. When she walked back in the room, what she found made her heart melt.
Her older son had begun to sing “No One Like You” by John Denver to the baby, and it is one of the most precious things we have ever seen!
“I like your eyes. I like your nose. I like your mouth, your ear, your hand, your toes,” he sang.
At one point he looked up and realized his mom was watching, but that didn’t stop him from finishing the sweet lullaby.
“There’s no one, no one exactly like you,” he finished.
We know this little baby is going to have a loving and loyal protector in his older brother! A sweet and precious friendship that will continue for the rest of their lives!
