Police have finally located a 9-year-old girl who apparently ran away from a train station in Oregon on Monday night.
According to the Gresham Police Department, Elisa Salmeron was last seen around 9:30 p.m. on Monday near her home in Gresham.
As KATU reports, Elisa had last been seen by her family when she was taking out the trash outside her home, but shocking surveillance footage caught the little girl at a bus station with a suitcase.
The footage showed Elisa walking with a pair of young adults and a child. Her family told police that the suitcase Elisa was seen carrying was not their daughter’s and they did not recognize any of the people walking with her, according to ABC News.
As KOIN 6 reports, it seems as if the young couple helped Elisa buy a ticket to board the train, and the group later got off the train at 148th Avenue and Burnside Street.
According to reports, investigators remain unsure whether Elisa got off the bus with the couple or continued her journey on her own.
Shortly before Elisa was found safe, her mother, Rosa Salmeron, told KOIN 6 News she desperately wanted her daughter to come home.

“I just want to hug her, love her, I want her home, I want her home,” she said. “She don’t know these kids. I don’t even know these kids.”
Elisa’s mother reportedly got the call that her daughter was safe and in police custody around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
After ABC News posted about the search for Elisa on Facebook, dozens of commenters shared their shock and confusion over this little girl’s mysterious disappearance.
“How do they not suspect foul play? Her parents don't know who she is with or where she is? Rather she went on her own or not ...she is a child. She doesn't get to make those choices. It's foul play,” one woman commented.
“Goes out to take out trash winds up with strange people at a train station and the cops don't suspect foul play. Makes total sense bc kids kidnapped by strangers always leads to a happy ending. How stupid are these cops?” another added.
“She goes to take out the garbage. Then she's at a bus station with strangers leaving a station. With a suitcase thats not hers. Oh but there's no foul play. Did i miss something shes a child!!!!!! Leaving with strangers. !!!!” another commenter wrote.
