SCHOOL FORCES TERMINALLY ILL DAD WITH DAYS TO LIVE TO COME TO CAMPUS. ONLY THEN DOES HE UNDERSTAND WHAT IS HAPPENING

When North Carolina father Brian Brown first learned he was terminally ill, he was terrified that he would not make it long enough to see his son graduate from high school.
According to ABC News, Brown and his 18-year-old son, Cameron, have grown incredibly close over the last few years.
"Over the years me and my dad have grown to be very, very close -- pretty much best friends," Cameron told ABC News on Tuesday. "I look at him as my Superman, so seeing him there to see me graduate meant everything for me. He really tried to make sure that I know that he's proud of me because that's something I've always worked for.”
"We believe no matter what the doctors say, God's in control," he added. "He's a fighter."
The 43-year-old father, from Albemarle, North Carolina, was reportedly diagnosed with nonalcoholic cirrhosis of the liver in 2011.

Just two years after the shocking diagnosis, Brown and his family were forced to deal with another tragedy.
While helping a neighbor during a storm, Brown fell off a ladder and was left paralyzed.
During an interview with ABC News earlier this week, Cameron’s mother, Wendy Brown, revealed that her husband does not have very long to live.
When Kim Page, the principal of West Stanly High School, found out the crushing news about Cameron’s father, she immediately stepped in to grant Brown one final dying wish.
On February 27, Page and her colleagues threw together a mock graduation ceremony, just so Brown could see his son graduate early.
The mock graduation was a surprise, and the family thought they were just coming to the school to watch graduation practice.
"My secretary said, 'We've got the caps and gowns, let's do something for him,'" Page told ABC News. "Within less than 24 hours, we put together the program."
According to ABC News, hundreds of people in the community attended the mock graduation, making the entire experience extra special for Brown and his family.
Cameron is currently the quarterback for his high school football team, and he plans on attending Averett University in Danville, Virginia, where he will play college football after graduation.
ABC News confirmed on Wednesday that Brian Brown has passed away.
After ABC News shared the heartbreaking story on Facebook, dozens of comments came pouring in, with many offering support to Cameron and his family.
“How thoughtful of the school to hold a special ceremony in order for his father to be at his son's milestone-graduating high school. My condolences to the family,” one woman commented.
“Awesome..this is what it is all about..community coming together to support one another and its children. It wil be a memory that will last forever in the hearts of all involved,” another added.
