Man Finds Book On Side Of The Road, Stunned By What’s Written On The Page

A man from Kansas was picking up trash beside a highway when he found a beat up book on the side of the road and felt an overwhelming feeling that compelled him to look inside. That’s when he was immediately left stunned by what was written on the page.

Kansas Department of Transportation worker Rodney Wright was on trash duty on the side of Highway 56 when he unexpectedly found an old book on the ground. Unlike the rest of the trash that he was used to picking up, something urged him to glance inside the battered book, and he was quickly left stunned when he saw what was not only written on the page but how it had a personal connection to him.

To Rodney’s surprise, he was holding someone’s Bible. Upon looking at the pages, he quickly made an alarming realization — he knew the man to whom it belonged. The well-used Bible had originally belonged to Rodney’s friend, Mike Thompson. Unfortunately, Mike had passed away a few years ago, but his Bible has since been one of his wife Rhonda’s most treasured possessions.
Every week, Rhonda would carefully take her late husband’s Bible to church. However, after a brief lapse in judgment, she placed the Bible, along with a drink, on top of her car and forgot about it until it was too late, seemingly losing it forever. Luckily, only two days later, Rodney was placed on trash duty and unknowingly found her lost Bible, and Rhonda knows it wasn’t a coincidence.

“This feels like Jesus Christ to me. No matter what, God just kept bringing it back together,” she explained, according to IJ Review. “Sometimes things that just do not make sense — it doesn’t make any physics sense that a car hit it and it didn’t just blow all over the place. We’re right by the highway.”
Of course, Rodney agrees wholeheartedly, as he feels it was divine intervention that helped him find his friend’s Bible. “God is definitely the one that put me there to find it,” he explained.
Although our world may seem like it’s a mess at times, there has always been one constant factor that we all need to simply acknowledge — God. His Grace is truly the only thing that can save us all, and it’s instances like this one that proves he understands our deepest needs and desires.
God ensured that this particular Bible, one of Rhonda’s most important possessions, fell into the right hands to be returned to her. Everything happens for a reason, and God will continue to prove that to his followers.
