Time and time again we hear that animals are found in trash bags. Why? Do the people who put the living animals in trash bags have no compassion? There is probably an animal shelter nearby that would gladly take the animals off your hands. In 2015, thirteen-year-old Jonathan Flatt found and rescued six puppies from a trash bag in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Jonathan was on his way to the bus stop when he heard the puppies crying. The puppies were very young. Jonathan, with the help of his mom, were able to get the puppies in the house. The puppies were hungry and covered in ticks. Not only that but they were terrified. It took a few days, but the Flatt family was able to earn the trust of the pups.
