A Florida boy found a new appreciation for flip flops after a woman watching over him walked in on what he had done when she wasn’t looking. Now, someone is in jail and one person is recovering from some pretty severe emotional and physical damage.
Marina Vega came home to a filthy scene that she wasn’t prepared for and immediately reacted to it. A boy, whose relation to her was not noted, had tried to take on some household responsibilities, including collecting his laundry, likely to make the woman happy. However, the effort wasn’t good enough for her when she found that the 8-year-old child had put his dirty clothes in the dryer.
According to WFLA, the incensed 27-year-old woman flew into a brutal rage, beating the boy for his simple oversight when he was just trying to do something right. The boy told police that Vega hit him on the face and on his side, which caused him to fall to the ground, writhing in pain. Once he was in this submissive state, she took the alleged abuse much further.

Following the April 21 incident, police investigated the boy’s claims after he told them that once he was on the ground, Vega began stomping on his stomach. She had shoes on as she did it, but the boy told detectives that he was grateful that she was wearing flip flops for the abuse because any other footwear would have done more damage.
“Thank you God not normal shoes, because it would have hurt more,” he told officers, who evaluated the child, which ultimately led to the woman’s arrest on Wednesday this week. She’s being held without bond on child cruelty charges in Monroe County.
Although it’s unclear how the boy and woman know each other, he was in her care for a reason and shouldn’t have been. This sadistic monster needs to never have access to children again, whether her own or other’s, and while she’s awaiting her fate, her fellow inmates should let her know how it feels to be stomped in the gut a few times.
