Mom Wakes To Twins Missing, Screams When She Sees Horrid Scene Outside
By Dreamer

The mother of three-year-old twin toddlers awoke over the weekend and couldn’t find her children in their bedroom. It was eerily quiet, and they were nowhere to be found inside the home. However, when she looked out the door, she let out a blood-curdling scream at the horrid scene she found.
While Alisha Orr’s husband, Travis Orr, was at work for the Bossier City Police Department in Louisiana, the mother was at home with their twins, Oliver and Aria Orr, over the weekend. Exhausted from the grueling task of managing twin toddlers, the woman decided to lay down for just a moment, while her kids were safe inside. No sooner had she closed her eyes, did she wake up to a nightmare she never saw coming.
According to KALB, the mother couldn’t find her twins after waking from her short nap and called the police to report them missing. As she continued to search in and around the house for them, getting more frantic and scared by the second, she went to the yard thinking they may have gotten out. There, she found the toddler’s terrifying hiding spot, and by the time she discovered where they had been playing, it was too late.

The family had a pickup truck parked outside their home, just feet from where Alisha had been sleeping inside. The children presumably went out to play in it but didn’t make it out alive. The truck was so hot inside that they succumbed to the elements, after reportedly being in it for approximately two hours before their mother found Oliver dead in the back of the truck and Aria inside the cab, the Shreveport Times reported.

Orr’s Home and Truck Where Twins Were Found
Alisha let out a scream when she saw what happened, heard by her neighbor who came running to see what was going on. The woman attempted CPR on Alisha’s twins to no avail. The children were found dead by police officers with the same police department their father works for, who had the unbearable task of arriving at the scene of one of their own.
An autopsy was set to be conducted on Sunday, but authorities initially stated that they believe the deaths were heat-related. The doors on the pickup truck should have been locked to prevent curious toddlers from getting inside, and unreachable locks placed on doors in the home, to keep them escaping. These simple preventions help, but if the kids have never had a habit of getting out or playing in the truck, those dangers may not have been foreseen.
The exhausted mom had just laid down for a second of rest from caring for her busy toddlers around the clock while her husband was bravely serving the town of Bossier when this tragedy struck. It’s easy to blame the parent in charge, but accidents and mistakes happen and it only takes a second for things to go from fine to fatal.
