Mom Puts 5-Year-Old Down For A Nap. When She Checks On Her Hours Later, She's Gone

Ohio authorities have issued a statewide endangered missing child advisory for a little girl who went missing from a restaurant on Monday.
According to Jackson Township Police, 5-year-old Ashley Zhao hasn’t been seen since Monday evening, when she went down for a nap in the back room at Ang's Asian Cuisine around 4:30 p.m.
Police Chief Mark Brink told the press that when Ashley’s mother went to check on her around 9 p.m., the little girl was gone.
Although she was not seen leaving the restaurant, police say Ashley had been known to wander out the back door on a few occasions.

At this time, police believe Ashley wandered out the back door of the restaurant, as there is no evidence that she was taken against her will.
Because police do not think Ashley was kidnapped, authorities have not issued an Amber Alert in her disappearance yet.
Vickie Fothergill, store manager of Harrison Paint Co. next door to the restaurant, said she has seen Ashley and her younger sister around the restaurant several times, but she had never known Ashley to wander away.
When Fothergill left work around 6 p.m., she did not see Ashley outside, according to CantonRep.com.
As of Tuesday morning, police had started searching the area around the restaurant, including nearby fields and wooded areas.
