While walking through the woods, an odd sight caught the eye of a man who decided to investigate a little further. However, he couldn’t believe what he saw as he got a little closer – and that’s about the time he stumbled across two-and-a-half million reasons not to leave before doing just one thing.
It all started when a man was wandering the land of a Massachusetts farm and decided to check out an odd sight off in the distance. However, once he realized that his eyes weren’t deceiving him, he knew he just found a work of art lying in waste.
Come to find out, an employee of Worldwide Auctioneers stumbled across a rare 1962 Aston Martin DB4 that had been sitting in the woods since the 70’s. Brought to the area by its second owner, the car was left to rot away for so many years that trees even began to grow around it as it settled into the soil and its engine bay filled up with leaves and weeds.

Originally from California, the car is actually one of just 1,113 DB4s produced and is expected to bring in quite a pretty penny. Set to be put up for auction in Scottsdale, Arizona on January 18, estimates suggest that it will sell for somewhere in the $375,000 – $475,000 range – and that’s not even the best part.

According to Fox News, “If that sounds like a lot for a derelict, the Hagerty Price Guide says that it could be worth $2.5 million or more when fully restored.” With a number like that, it’s no wonder this guy wasn’t leaving the property without owning that car himself.
It just goes to show that there are some discoveries to be made out there, and you never know what you might find. However, if you think the people making these incredible finds are simply “lucky,” there’s one thing to keep in mind – they’re out there actually looking for them. Who knows? Maybe with a bit of luck and effort, you could be the next person to find something worth a couple million by simply getting off the couch.
