Cop’s McDonald’s Pic Stuns Viewers With What’s Caught In The Background

Police officers are put in difficult situations on a daily basis. Unfortunately, the entitlement mentality of certain groups in our nation has resulted in many citizens disrespecting cops. However, when one cop from Bangor, Maine snapped a picture while he and his partner were going through a McDonald’s drive-thru, viewers were left stunned when they glanced at the photo and caught what was in the background.
On an evening where some areas were below freezing, Officer John Hermanson and Officer Jeremy Caron were busier than one would imagine, but not for the reason that some people would think. In fact, as they went through the drive-thru at a local McDonald’s, Officer Hermanson decided to take an unusual photo. When viewers spotted what was happening in the background, it went viral.

Last night, Officer John Hermanson and Officer Jeremy Caron picked up a couple of local fellows that were cold (Bangor saw 9 below zero in some areas). The officers drove them to McDonald’s to grab a meal.
John snapped the photo, but not for the reason that you might think. Hermanson said the men in the backseat got a real kick out of ordering at the drive-thru from the back of a cop car.
They laughed even harder when John pulled up to the window and they were able to take the bag of food by reaching out from the rear seat of the cop car. We think the Mickey Dees employee also got a kick out of it.
So, it’s not just the meal. It is the connection. It is a moment in time when four guys from different worlds can have a laugh and then have a story to share.
A police cruiser becomes a conduit for kindness.
This wonderful situation was able to occur solely because of the kindness of strangers who donated many gift cards to police officers to use for people in need. I can’t imagine what the McDonald’s employee was thinking when they served a man from the backseat of a police car, but I know it will be a memorable story for them to share.
In a nation where police officers are judged for every move they make, it’s nice to see that they are still finding ways to enjoy their job and to positively influence people who are in need of it. So, the next time you have an extra five or ten dollars lying around, perhaps you could do the same as these generous people have and donate a gift card for your local law enforcement to share with someone who needs it.
