Do you have a pet?
If you do, you've probably seen them press their head against the wall when their in trouble or are feeling guilty from doing something naughty.

If this action becomes more common than just when they have a heavy conscience, it's a sign that they need medical attention.

The reason to be on alert for this is because head pressing is condition that indicates there's damage to the nervous system.

The nervous system can become damaged in pets because of prosencephalon disease, chemical exposure, tumors, infections, or other health conditions.
Even though it looks super cute when a pet does this, we have to remember that pets can't verbally tell us when something is wrong. The only way they can tell us what is wrong by their actions, so that's something to remain aware of.

Depending on the amount of times your pet presses their head against a wall and the duration of time they do it, treatment will vary.

As a precaution, it's always best to seek medical attention at your earliest convenience because if something is wrong, you want to catch it sooner than later!

If your friends or family have pets, be sure to share this valuable information with them as well! You just might end up saving a life.
