Police Called To Creepy Abandoned House, Make Horrifying Discovery Inside
By Dreamer

Unfortunately for a few Illinois officers who were recently called to a creepy deserted house, they were absolutely horrified by what they saw on the other side of the front door.
Last month, Chicago police were called by a concerned citizen to check out a rundown home in the city, where they made quite the shocking find inside. After entering the premises, officers found several dead cats littering the inside of the building with a few others still alive and walking around – but that wasn’t the worst part.

The condition of the abandoned home where the girls were found was deplorable
Come to find out, the cats weren’t exactly alone as there were three young girls – ages 7, 3, and 1 – living in the home at the time. Although officers state that the conditions of the house were deplorable, the girls were still upbeat, including the youngest.
According to reports, the death and massive amounts of garbage around the children weren’t the worst of the conditions as the girls didn’t have electricity, heat, or even running water. Having no other option than to use the bathtub as a toilet, officers state that the girls were naturally filthy and hadn’t eaten in about 2 days – but that was all about to change.
After nicknaming the girls the “Englewood Angels,” the police took them to the hospital to be checked over and connected with the Department of Children and Family Services to find a family member who could take them in. Fortunately, the girl’s grandmother, Delores Anderson, was more than ready to have them home.

Delores Anderson
IJ Review reports that that girls’ father, Derrick D. Anderson, eventually returned to the abandoned home but was quickly arrested by police. As Delores explains, she had raised the eldest of the girls since birth but had rarely seen the other two. After questioning her son about bruises on the children, he cut off all contact with her for what she thought was for good.

Chicago police threw a birthday party for the “Englewood Angels”
That’s all changed now as Delores is set to raise the kids after getting that call. “I grabbed them and they hugged me,” the grandmother explained while talking about their reunion. “I didn’t care. I needed them to be with me so I would know they were protected.” Unfortunately, the woman didn’t exactly have everything she needed to raise three girls – but that wouldn’t last long either.
According to reports, the officers who responded to the initial call all dug deep into their pockets and gave Delores and the girls everything they needed. Not only did they donate clothes, diapers, food, furniture, and toys to the family, but they even went so far as to throw the girls a birthday party that they’ll likely never forget.
In a time where police officers are often disrespected on account of abysmal leadership and divisive language, this is what many people all across the nation know our brave men and women in uniform to be – selfless individuals truly dedicated to the safety and well-being of the community. These men and women are heroes, and I doubt these little girls will ever forget what they did for them.
