While you purchase fruit, you probably notice the labels on them. But, have you ever thought about what is their meaning? There are numbers on the labels. These numbers show important information connected to the fruit. It is called PLU or Product Looking Number.
WHAT THESE NUMBERS MEAN?
If the number is 4 digit and starts with 3 or 4, it means that it is NOT GMO, but it grew in farms where there are chemicals and pesticides.
If the number starts with 9, it means that the fruit is organic, grown without chemicals, but if it starts with 8, then it means that this is a GMO food.
Be very cautious when purchasing these the next time you go to the store.
