Georgia residents driving down Pinehurst Road in Snellville were shocked at what a fed up man put in his yard, which wasn’t there the day before. Sick of what he has witnessed, Bobby Howard took matters into his own hands with his blunt display that was complete with something unique on top that took drivers by surprise.
Howard didn’t mess around in letting the people in town know exactly how he feels with his massive sign that he skillfully planned to address this on-going problem he’s seen. Once he put all the parts in place, he set it up outside his house, and regardless of how anyone feels about it, he doesn’t plan to take it down anytime soon — although one group may try their hardest to change that.
Like many extremely concerned Americans, Howard has had enough of the senseless attacks on police officers. He didn’t just want to show his support for law enforcement, he wanted a big reminder on his sign to clearly show the sacrifice of this profession that too many officers pay for with their lives. “Today I placed a sign in my front yard….. not just any sign…. A sign that says just how i feel and the heartache that for many families is very real,” Howard wrote in a social media post with a photo of his sign that shows he more than just backs “the blue.”
The 4-foot by 8-foot sign has two green lights at the top and the description on the poster explains what they mean. “When these lights are on… it means that another member of the Law Enforcement community has lost their life IN THE LINE OF DUTY,” the sign says in part. Howard noted that when these lights turn on, they will stay on for 48 hours “as a reminder to all that no matter where you are in this country, the people that are committed ‘To Protect and Serve’ are doing the job they were called to do,” the poster says, Fox 5 reports.
