Mother Sees What A Waiter Is Doing In Back Booth, Looks For Manager Immediately

After leaving the children’s hospital where her infant daughter was undergoing some tests, an exhausted Arkansas mom stopped at Olive Garden for a quick bite to eat and to give her baby a bottle. The family was seated in a quiet corner and were about to enjoy their salad when they saw what the waiter was doing behind them.
Dallas French already had too much on her plate and was short on sleep, when she was hoping to take a brief break from it all as she left the hospital and stopped at the restaurant in Little Rock. As soon as she was seated, she realized that the dinner wasn’t going to go as planned.

According to her post on social media after the incident, she admitted to feeling “out of it” from all of the stress and lack of rest in the last week, as she was preparing her daughter’s bottle shortly after sitting down. French accidentally spilled the milk and it was dripping down her lap onto the floor, as her baby started to fuss and she made her another. The mother was reaching the max of what she could handle in that moment when her waiter walked up.
Drenched in milk, French didn’t realize that her waiter saw the incident unfold before bringing them their salad and breadsticks. Right as she twisted the top on the bottle, he dropped the food off on the table and shocked the mother with what he told her to do.
Seeing that the baby was too little to hold the bottle herself, the kindhearted server told French to eat and allow him to feed her baby. Floored by his thoughtfulness, she took him up on the offer. As he came around to the booth behind them, the waiter leaned over the bench to hold the infant’s bottle in place, while her parents enjoyed their meals too.

“This melted all of us and this is what we need more of!” the appreciative mother wrote in her post. “He fed her, I ate my salad and breadsticks, and that milk on the floor got cleaned up after we left because he just understood!”
The waiter didn’t know that this family had just come from the hospital or all that they had been through that week. He saw an exhausted mom, screaming baby, and an opportunity to help, rather than getting angry that these customers had created a big mess and were going to be more work than others.
Having left the restaurant after their enjoyable meal, with a full heart and belly because of their waiter, French felt bad for not getting his name but wanted to be sure he got the recognition from his manager that he deserved. He could have assumed their kid was their problem and stuck to his job duties, but instead jumped right in to solve it, rather than complain about it. He’s a credit to his generation and the company he works for, but also an example of the good people out there doing awesome things for other people regardless of race.
