When Lacey Spears was sent to prison, she chose to serve her sentence in general population as opposed to solitary confinement, assuming she’d make friends behind bars. A year into her sentence, she regrets that decision after the inmates found out that she committed a crime against a child and made sure that karma paid a visit to this evil parent in the most creative way they could come up with.

Lacey’s 5-year-old son Garnett after she fed him a steady dose of salt to keep him looking sick so she could blog about it in a sick attempt to get sympathy from strangers. The 28-year-old Munchausen by proxy sufferer has always maintained her innocence since her conviction, telling CBS News’ 48 Hours, “I never poisoned him with salt,” insisting that she did not hurt him. However, the overwhelming evidence was against this psychopath, who has gotten exactly what she deserves in jail after her cellmates go ahold of some salt.
Complaining about how “brutal” prison life has been for her, she cried about how cruel her cellmates are since they know that her crime was committed against a child. Because of her crime, she’s treated much differently than the others and has experienced the full wrath from her cell buddies for it. In an interview with John Glatt for his upcoming book, My Sweet Angel, the sadistic mother explained the daily torture she receives, specifically with salt since that’s what she used to murder her son.
In a new attempt at getting sympathy, now from behind bars, Lacey’s complained about her food being constantly poisoned by salt and how she lives in fear. “When she walked through the line and it would be her turn to pick up the tray, someone would put salt packets over her meal and then hand the tray to her,” said Rebecca Spears, who is the baby killer’s sister and was present for the interview.
Lacey added, “I hear them talking behind my back, calling me ‘baby killer,’ ‘child killer,’ and ‘mother of the year.’ But I know it’s not who I am.” She asked for this when she killed her kid for attention, and now, her cellmates are ensuring the justice she deserves that the court system couldn’t do. She deserved the death sentence and was lucky she didn’t get it, but perhaps she’ll end up with it as she’s force-fed salt in prison.
