Anyone who has a kid knows that when your children are silent, it usually means either they’re up to no good or they’re hurt. However, when one mother heard the dreaded silence while driving in her car, she immediately looked in the rearview mirror and never could have expected what she’d see in the backseat.
When Jaime Smith got into the car with her daughters one day, what would happen during their trip would forever leave an imprint on her life. Knowing how many people would be affected by their situation, she immediately went home and shared her story to Facebook. Since then, her post has gone viral and many people’s lives were being changed all because of what she saw happen in the backseat of her car.
“Yesterday, my daughters were being so quiet in the car,” Jaime began. “I tilted my rearview mirror down to check on them and this is what I saw. (I was stopped when I took the picture!) My 4 year old praying :)”

Sadly, not many of our children are growing up learning about God, much less praying. So when a child is unexpectedly caught praying to God, it’s a big deal — not only to their parents but to any Christian in the country. However, after Jaime asked her little girl what she was praying about, her answer was truly empowering.
“When she was finished, I asked her what she was praying about,” Jaime explained. “She said, ‘It was a thinking prayer. I do that a lot. I was talking to God about how I love all the people in the whole world.’
