Mother With Newborn Hears A Loud Noise, Sees Cop Walking From Her Home

A mother with a newborn baby was recently beside herself after a police officer made an unannounced visit to her home, but he didn’t come inside. After hearing a noise outside, the mother decided to look out and snap a few photos of the man in the act as he was walking away.
This took place in Madison County, Alabama, and photos posted to Facebook by Rachael Godsey Brindley quickly went viral.
According to KCTV5, the woman’s husband, Ryan, has been quite busy with a project at work lately and hasn’t had the time to mow his own lawn. However, despite the two just having a baby, Rachael decided to start-up the mower herself and get to work.
“He has been working hard on a work project and hasn’t had time to cut it,” Rachael would later explain. “It was a nice day out and so I thought I’d help my husband out and cut it myself. I enjoy cutting the grass.”
Knowing that she couldn’t leave the newborn unattended, she simply took the baby with her via a front-facing baby carrier. That’s when a cop stopped in front of her home.
“Y’all I thought I was about to get in trouble or something for baby wearing while mowing,” she said in her original post. However, that couldn’t have been further from the truth, as he actually insisted on finishing the lawn for the new mother.
“This sweet sheriff stopped and insisted on mowing my yard for me!” she continued while noting that she was feeling thankful. She also managed to snap a few photos of the officer as he was walking away from the home — one of the many times while going back and forth, mowing the lawn.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has since confirmed that the man in the image is one of their officers. They too posted the image on their own Facebook page with the description reading, “MCSO Deputy helping a new Mom with a baby by mowing her lawn. Well beyond the call of duty — she was very thankful.”
