Girl Stuns Texas Cops With Shocking Question, Then They Look Behind Her

While a couple of Texas cops were eating their lunch, they were approached by a little girl who had a question for them they’ve never been asked before. Stunned by her single request, they looked behind her and immediately stopped their meal.

Cedar Hill Marshals Harris and Wallace had just sat down to eat when they were reminded that they are never really off the job. A little girl, who they later learned was named Chloe, came up to the side of their table seemingly out of nowhere and said something to the pair that they said was a first they’ve heard in their careers. When they saw her father behind her, they grabbed the child’s hands.
All little Chloe wanted was to know if she could pray for these two brave men, who serve and protect her each day. She can’t fathom the danger and difficult situations they face on the job, but is grateful they suit up to protect her daily so she doesn’t have to see the things they do.

Touched by her selfless request and having never been offered this before, the officers stopped what they were doing, held her hands, and dropped their heads in prayer as this child asked God to protect these heroes. Chloe’s father stood by and watched with pride, snapping a picture of this touching moment to share to the Cedar Hill Police Department page. The post struck the heart of the nation and has gone viral for good reason.
Chloe’s father has taught his daughter compassion and respect for all people of any race, but especially those who put their lives on the line to serve others in an often thankless profession. He’s raising her right, not to see color or difference, or with an attitude of entitlement that she’s owed something, but that she can give love and not hate.
