It involves massaging your feet and fingers for 10-15 minutes every night before you go to sleep. As ne requires complete relaxation of mind, many people adopt different methods to acquire that relaxation. For some, reading a book is relaxing while for some people listening to music is relaxing.

Foot massaging actually is very beneficial to your whole body and can be done by yourself at home. We work on our feet for most of the day. Soak the feet in warm water which has some salt mixed in it. It will strain out all the pain and stress out of the feet in matter of minutes and you will feel rejuvenated.

How to perform feet massage?

Feet are one of the easiest body parts to self-massage. As mentioned earlier, soak your feet in some warm water for 5-7 minutes. Put some salt and some scent in the water beforehand.

Rub the sole of your foot with the palm of your hand until it becomes warm. Repeat the procedure on the other foot as shown in the image. Then hold each of your toes in between your thumb and fore finger and squeeze them with power. Pull them; flex them in order to increase their flexibility.

Pull and push them in opposite directions to their limit. Just take care not to apply too much of a force or you could damage them. Next you can place a thumb on the sole of your foot and apply pressure, while moving the thumb in circular motion. This will energise the heel of the foot and removes tension and stress from your foot. Take care tom spend at least 10-15 minutes doing this.

There are many benefits of foot massage. First of all it relaxes your feet. Massage also makes metabolism better, increases the blood flow and reduced fats. It is also beneficial to your skin.

The improve blood circulation then helps in carrying the important nutrients to the feet which helps them heal fast from any damage. It is known that by applying pressure and massaging certain parts of feet can cure ailments of the corresponding body parts. This helps them heal properly and reduces pain and stress in that part.
