This Dog Was Unwanted And Without Love...Until A Facebook Post Changed Everything

The wall of Kentucky’s Carroll County Animal Shelter was made of bland off-white bricks, but Russell the dog, with his big brown eyes, stared at it intently from the very corner of the room. Scared and alone, he didn’t move an inch, not even eating. He had no hope of adoption, and six siblings with an unknown past.
At least, until Tammie Crawford, the facility’s director of animal support, posted a picture of Russell in that corner to Facebook. An animal-lover who saw the photo was heartbroken by Russell’s story, and so eventually arranged for Russell—along with five other dogs—to go to the Stray Animal Adoption Program. There, he was discovered to be female, and was renamed Rosalind Russell.
