Cramps are possibly the most irritating thing in life, because you never know WHY they happened and WHEN they'll go away. The pain seems to last forever, crippling your body to a helpless state.

Overexerting leg muscles, sitting or standing for too long on concrete floors and continuously working on a hard surface can all cause an extremely painful muscle cramp.

There are also medical conditions which can cause consistent cramps such as Alcoholism, pregnancy, dehydration and diabetes! Dehydration is the leading cause of cramps, so make sure you are getting plenty of fluids daily.

The key to preventing cramps would be to build your leg muscles, that way they are less prone to spasms and overexertion. You can also try acupuncture if your not a gym rat! Warm baths, heating pads and consuming enough magnesium and potassium can also help fix your cramping issue.

When you feel paralyzed in bed because of a cramp, try gently massaging in a circular motion to slowly ease the spasm. Walk around and shake your legs out, or take a teaspoon of mustard (yes mustard).
