First-Time Movie Theater Experience: A Girl with Cerebral Palsy Radiates With Joy
By JamieFlower

Since her premature birth, Ariana Rye has encountered numerous health challenges, eventually receiving a diagnosis of Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. As a result, she requires extensive medical care and accommodations, many of which come with a hefty price tag.
In response, Ariana's family established the Ariana Rye Foundation to assist others facing similar circumstances. This nonprofit organization aims to raise funds to provide medical equipment for children with disabilities. Through sharing insights into their family life, including Ariana's joyful visit to the Las Vegas Sphere, Ariana's mother seeks to raise awareness about their cause.

If you or someone you love is disabled, you understand how difficult it can be to find places that are truly accessible and accommodating. Although there are certainly ways the Las Vegas Sphere can improve (parking and space for wheelchairs, Mom shares from her experience), their overall experience was fantastic. “We’ve never taken Ariana to the movies for the fear that it’d be too difficult for her to look down/move her head in the right position to enjoy it,” Mom writes.

The best part, though, has to be the way Ariana’s face lights up as she watches the screen. Here, a gigantic elephant explores the beautiful wooded area that takes up the entirety of the screen. Seriously, her adorable little smile is everything!
“Overall great experience,” Mom continues, “and we’d take Ariana again!”
