Two puppies were left in the cold and rain — then a deputy came to save the day
By RonnySteel

It's absolutely heartbreaking to imagine anyone abandoning innocent puppies, but luckily, there are compassionate individuals out there who step up to care for these vulnerable animals. Just recently, Deputy Andrew Rechsteiner from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office proved to be one of those heroes. When he received a report about two pups left out in the cold and rain, he wasted no time.
Upon arriving at the scene, Deputy Rechsteiner discovered the two helpless pups seeking shelter in a vineyard, trying to stay warm amidst the chilly, wet weather and the nearby bustling road. Without hesitation, Deputy Rechsteiner scooped them up, wrapped them in towels, and brought them into the warmth and safety of his patrol car. He then ensured they received proper care by taking them to Fresno Humane Animal Services. Kudos to Deputy Rechsteiner for his swift and compassionate response to these abandoned pups in need!
