Woman keeps her promise to 101-year-old great-grandmother as young teen, asks her to be maid of honor
By daisydoll

When Erin Radmann was younger she had the idea to ask her great-grandmother Rose to be her maid of honor in her wedding.
Although Erin wasn't ready to be married, she was certain she wanted her great-grandmother to be apart of her special day.
Years went by and finally in January 2021, Erin got engaged to her boyfriend. It was time to plan a wedding!
After her engagement, Erin asked her great-grandmother to be her maid of honor.
Erin wrote a note – “Grandma Rose, Will you be my maid of honor? Love, Erin.” – and gifted Rose a beautiful necklace, which she said she could wear on her special day.
Rose was in disbelief.
“You never gave up on me?” she said.
Her great-granddaughter always wanted Rose to be a part of her wedding day.

Unfortunately, days after Rose celebrated her 102nd birthday in October 2021, she died.
Erin shared a sweet tribute to her Grandma Rose on Instagram on October 12.
“Yesterday, we lost my sweet great-grandma Rose.”

On what would have been Rose’s 103rd birthday, Erin thanked her great-grandmother for being her maid of honor.
“Thank you for being my maid of honor, watching from heaven.”
Rose’s reaction was beautiful! It’s very sad she did not live long enough to watch her great-granddaughter marry the love of her life.
