99-Year-Old Veteran Helps Raise Over $17 Million for Hospitals During Coronavirus Outbreak

A 99 year old British Army vet couldn’t stand still as his country is impacted by the harmful coronavirus. So he chose to walk and his inspiration helped raise over $17 million for hospitals. Retired Captain Tom Moore planned to only raise 1000 GBP ($1,245) for the National Health Service.
He got up and walked 100 laps around his garden in honor of his 100th birthday at the end of April. Once others heard of his mission, the pledges began pouring in and his numbers skyrocketed. Check out the video below for more information on this inspiring story!
