After making it through the polar vortex and its cruel temperatures, we find some relief and beauty in the spring. But according to the Farmers’ Almanac, summer is going to bring the heat. You ready?
Around since 1818, this version of the popular guide recently shared its 2019 predictions for the Northern Hemisphere’s summer season. For the most part, we can expect to see the usual highs for this time of year, but a few areas will be getting an extra dose of scorching heat, thunderstorms, or thick humidity.
Throughout June and July, those who live in the southwestern or central parts of the U.S. (e.g. Arizona, Utah) are predicted to see exceptionally hot temps. Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas are due for numerous thunderstorms that will possibly turn into hurricanes, hailstorms, or tornadoes. And if you live in one of these states, you know how humid it can get. Expect it.

Summer showers are not only expected for Mississippi, but also for the Northeast. Wet, cloudy weather will keep temperatures under 90 degrees for the most part, but look for the norm to be in the 80s. In the Midwest, things will be humid and warm, and with some storms.
