Cops Bring A Lost Woman Home, But Act Fast When They See What Is In Her Kitchen

After two police officers found an elderly woman who was lost and wandering the streets of Chicago, they knew they had to get her home. However, things would take a turn when they went inside her home and saw the alarming sight in her kitchen – and that’s when they knew they had to act fast.
It all started when Officers Haro and McDonald of the Chicago Police Department in Illinois responded to a call about an elderly woman who appeared to be lost and confused. Upon arriving they learned that an elderly woman appeared to be lost and disoriented was wandering around the area for hours.
As it turns out, the woman was lost and couldn’t find her way home. Making matters worse, a Facebook post about the incident states that she was “nonverbal and appeared to have difficulty communicating.” It is currently unclear whether that was from a disability associated with age or from the fact that she was exhausted.
It was quickly determined that she was non verbal and appeared to have extreme difficulty communicating. Quick thinking Officer Haro began to write questions for the lady who began to respond through pen and paper with the officers– and that’s when they started to get some answers. It was determined that the woman lived a couple of blocks away and Officers Haro and McDonald walked with her as she walked down the street to her residence, but things were far from over.
Much to the surprise of the officers, they learned that the woman lived by herself, and that’s when they walked into the kitchen and found that the woman didn’t have much food at all. Her cupboards and refrigerator were mostly empty.
Knowing they had to do something, Officers Haro and McDonald sprang into action by traveling to a nearby grocery store and buying a bunch of food to stock the woman’s home. After arriving back to the woman’s residence and helping her put away all the goodies they just bought, they were met with tears and a hug.
This is what it’s all about folks. You can tell me all the stories you want about so-called “police brutality,” but when it comes down to it, these good officers represent the vast majority of people who protect and serve all across our nation. Our police officers are good hearted men and women who love and care just like everyone else, if not more. This is why they deserve our respect. They've earned it.
