Two people are in jail after a woman told police she saw them abuse two children.

A woman told police that she had stayed the night at Jamie Goodin and Jacob Baker's home when she witnessed the abuse.

While the woman was at the house, she says she saw Goodin hold a pillow over her 7-month-old daughter's face, allegedly trying to keep the baby from crying.  The woman says she stepped in and moved the pillow off the baby.

“She said that she witnessed a woman putting a pillow over a small infant, attempting to suffocate the child," police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said.

She also told police that she heard Goodin tell one of her children that she would "break her neck if she did not shut up and leave her alone."

The witness later told DHS officials that she also saw Baker point a black BB gun at one of the children and nearly shoot her in the face. He allegedly said the child was "the spawn of satan and she deserves to die."

"Through this investigation, we learned that not only had this incident happened, but apparently where BB guns had been pointed at the children, threats had been made," Sgt. Wardlow said.

Goodin and Baker allegedly admitted to the woman that they have locked up one of their children in a room for hours at a time so they could "shoot up" methamphetamine, according to a police report.

The woman told police Goodin and Baker's house is a "drug house."

She says she eventually asked Goodin if she could take the two children on a walk. She told police she had to get food for both of the children because they were "starving."

While out with the children, the woman called police and alerted them to the situation.

According to a police report, the 4-year-old girl appeared scared of her mother and other people at the home.

She reportedly told one officer, "Jake is really mean to me and hurts me."

Emergency crews arrived and the children were immediately rushed to the hospital.

EMSA crews told police the infant appeared to be malnourished.  She also had several bruises and the "worst case of diaper rash they had ever seen." A CT scan also located a subdural hematoma.

"We learned that the 7-month-old, once at the hospital, had some type of a brain bleed... a serious head injury," Sgt. Wardlow said.

Police officers then went to the suspects' home and asked the mother if she knew where her children were.

At first, she told police her children were with a friend.  However, she later changed it to her sister and then later admitted she didn't know the person's name, according to a police report.

When police officers asked Goodin what her children's name and birthdays were, she had trouble giving them a response.

Police say she was able to give one of her children's name and information quickly, but police say she was unsure about the other child's name and birthday at first.

Eventually, she was able to provide police officers with that information.

"A very sad situation, obviously they're in a better place right now," Sgt. Wardlow said. "Had she [the woman who helped the children] not called, it's possible. I mean, who knows how much longer these children would have stayed in this environment. They could have been more seriously injured or even killed," Wardlow said.

One officer noted that Goodin could not stop moving around and appeared to be on some type of controlled dangerous substance.

Goodin was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on two counts of child abuse.

Baker was also arrested.  He was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail for two counts of possession of CDS in the presence of a minor.

Upon hearing the story, several took to social media to voice their comments and concerns.

“Thank God someone got involved and saved them from any more abuse,” wrote one user.

“I hope those children find a good, loving home to grow up in and have incredible futures,” wrote another user.
