Alert! New Siri Prank Could Get You In Trouble
By Michele

A new Siri prank spreading across social media like wildfire is causing a lot of problems, especially for emergency dispatchers.
According to WCMH-TV, people online are sharing a message that says, “All iPhone users say 108 to Siri. You’ll thank me later!” or some variation of it.

But when people try it, they’re hearing Siri reply, “Calling emergency services in five seconds.”
108 is India’s equivalent of 911, but it still works as an emergency code in the U.S., too.
Now emergency dispatchers are getting flooded with calls from unsuspecting iPhone users, tying up dispatchers who are trying to handle real 911 calls — especially in smaller towns where only one dispatcher is on duty at any given time.
