A single mother from Texas has been having a financially rough year when she unexpectedly got pulled over by a cop. She was driving an unregistered and uninspected car and panicked as the cop began to approach her. However, as the cop explained what she had done wrong, she froze when she heard him utter five words that left her in tears.
Amber Zakos is a single mother of three beautiful children. Along with the difficulties of parenting, Amber has spent the last year struggling to make ends meet. In order to ensure her children were taken care of, she made the decision to drive without an inspection, registration, or insurance. So, when she got pulled over by the police officer, you can imagine why she began to panic, knowing she was about to get a few pricey tickets that she couldn’t afford.

“My car has no registration, inspection, OR Insurance,” Amber explained on her Facebook post. “So I’m driving this morning to get Blaine from school and BOOM, I get pulled over. I start panicking!!”
She explained that the officer noticed that her tags were over a year old when he questioned her about their dates. Of course, she told him the truth, explaining that “there are things on my car that won’t pass inspection and I don’t have the money to fix them.”
Then, her gut churned when he asked her to step out of her car. They made their way to his motorcycle where they began to talk as he filled out a yellow piece of paper. Eventually, he handed her the piece of paper and said, “You have no tags and no Drivers License on you, OR car insurance.” Then he said the five words that left her frozen in place, “I’m giving you a warning!”

Remarkably, that’s not all he gave her either. “And I’m giving you this,” she recalled, as he handed her an envelope. The officer had handed her a Christmas Card, which held a whopping $100 gift. As anyone would do in this situation, she cried and thanked the officer for his kindness. “Not only did I get away with close to $1,000 in tickets… I came out $100 ahead!!
