A picture is going viral after a mother decided to snap a quick shot with her dying teenage daughter in the hospital. However, it isn’t so much the duo that has so many people mesmerized, but rather what else the image caught in the background – and it has quite a few people shocked, to say the least.
Sarah Danbury, from Grantham, Lincolnshire in England, was horrified to learn that her 19-year-old daughter, Amy Beckingham, was suffering from a rare and aggressive form of liver cancer. Although Amy battled fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma for a full year, things recently took a devastating turn.

Taking pictures and doing anything else she could think of for memory’s sake, Sarah wanted to hold onto her last moments with her daughter. Of course, the mom was devastated to lose her child just three weeks after being told the girl’s condition was deteriorating. However, after gathering the strength to look at the pictures taken at the time, things took a turn when she stumbled across one specific selfie.
According to Mail Online, Sarah “believes she captured a picture of her dying daughter’s ‘guardian angel‘ in one of their final photos together.” Sure enough, there is a figure in the background that is seemingly made of light with the striking similarity to an angel with wings.

Making matters even more intriguing, Amy’s mother states that “there were only two lights on that side of the room and they were both switched off.” She adds, “You just can’t explain it, it’s so weird.” As one would imagine, the shocking image has since gone viral with many people expressing their heartbreak, as well as amazement.
“I would treasure that picture forever,” one social media user wrote. “I’m glad it comforts Mrs. Danbury. Rest In Peace Amy.” Hope is all around us, especially when we need it most. Out of the darkness of grief emerges the light, and sometimes – every once in a while – it’s brought to us from heaven above.
